About the Artist

Deanna Kittrell was introduced to the wonderful world of jewelrymaking when she tried to find ankle jewelry that fit. Unable to find any suitable jewelry, she decided to make her own. From then on, she was hooked!

Deanna has been selling her jewelry in stores across the country and at craft shows for the last five years. Her world changed when she took a beginning chainmaille class at Piece of Mind Bead and Jewelry Studio in Sacramento, CA. Since then, chainmaille has been her passion. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with others, and especially enjoys demystifying chainmaille techniques. With a repertoire of over 40 chainmaille weaves, including several of her own, as well as variations of established chainmaille patterns, Deanna shares her expertise by teaching chainmaille classes at Piece of Mind. She also makes her own jump rings, which she offers for sale to others.

Deanna uses only the finest quality components and materials in her pieces, such as gemstones, Swarovski™ crystals, Japanese seed beads, and sterling silver findings and jump rings. She specializes in chainmaille jewelry and beaded jewelry. Most of Deanna’s works are original one-of-a-kind pieces.

Deanna lives in Citrus Heights, CA and is mother to two wonderful children, both in elementary school. She spends her time volunteering at the children’s school, working at Piece of Mind Bead and Jewelry Studio in Sacramento, CA, and teaching chainmaking classes there.
